Kia ora koutou and Welcome to View Hill School

It is my privilege to be the Tumuaki of View Hill School. We are part of a small, rural family community located by at the foothills of the Puketeraki mountain range north of Oxford.

Our children and whānau love View Hill School and the exciting learning programmes and opportunities we offer. We provide a high quality and comprehensive education for children from Years 1 to 8 (ages 5 to 13). These opportunities and learning programmes are underpinned by our core values of individuality, excellence, respect and caring.

View Hill School has a proud history of serving our community since 1876. We have a strong connection with the land and the wider environment upon which our school stands.

We are forever grateful to previous leaders, staff, whānau and community who worked tirelessly to ensure our school has continued to be an amazing place with a thriving programme of learning for children from Year 1 to Year 8 and most importantly has remained 'a happy place to learn'.

We invite you to come visit and get a feel for this place. I have no doubt you will feel that warm View Hill welcome and see that this is a wonderful kura to begin or to continue your child's learning journey.

We look forward to welcoming you into our school.

Nau mai, haere mai
